Mr. Ramos practices in the areas of complex civil and business litigation.   He has been prominently featured in the L.A. Times, Orange County Register, Sacramento Bee, San Diego Business Journal, and USD Alumni Magazine, and has been interviewed by KUSI Television (San Diego), KABC Television (Los Angeles), and KPBS radio.  Among other important cases, Mr. Ramos initiated the Smog Impact Fee litigation resulting in former Governor Gray Davis ordering refunds to 1.7 million Californians totaling over $665 million.

Mr. Ramos has been a faculty member and guest speaker for the Practicing Law Institute (PLI) in the area of Consumer Financial Services Litigation. Mr. Ramos is the author of an article entitled Seeking A Safe Haven Under RESPA (Mortgage Banking Magazine, May 2005) on the lawfulness of controlled business arrangements under the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act. Mr. Ramos has also provided television commentary on NBC 7/39 regarding the use of arbitration clauses in consumer adhesion contracts and other matters of general public interest.

Mr. Ramos is counsel of record in multiple published opinions involving complex class action litigation and is currently lead class counsel in various pending matters in both state and federal courts.
